Editorial policy
Editorial policy
This page describes how every article under this domain is produced, checked and corrected. It applies to the homepage, the archive, and each article without exception.
1. Who writes and who approves
Articles are published under the Le Mans Sensations Editorial Team. They are drafted with generative AI. Before an article is scheduled, the site owner reads it and approves its scope and the sources it lists. Articles have not been edited line by line by a human editor, and no individual is named as an author.
2. How facts are checked
Dates, class names, regulation details, session structures and results must trace to a primary source: the organiser, the federation, a published regulation document, or the official results and timing service. The sources we used are listed at the end of each article, with the date we opened them.
3. How generative AI is used
Generative AI writes the first draft of each article. It is instructed not to invent numbers, dates, quotations or first-hand experience, but a draft can still contain mistakes. Each article shows the label “AI draft, not edited” at its foot, so readers can see how it was produced. The owner's review checks that the sources are relevant to the topic; it does not re-verify every figure. Articles are also compared with their sources in a separate review, and an article in which that review finds a wrong figure, date or source is taken off the site until it is corrected.
4. What a published article adds
Each article aims to offer something a reader would not get from the first page of search results: a comparison table built from regulation documents, a worked explanation of a classification rule, a timeline assembled from official records, or a checklist for a particular part of the race weekend. We do not republish other outlets' reporting and we do not restore text from this domain's earlier owners.
5. Corrections
If you find an error, use the contact page with the page address and your source. We correct the article, or take it off the site while it is being fixed. We do not reset a date to make an old article look new.
6. Independence and sponsorship
The site carries no advertising, no sponsored posts, no affiliate links and no paid guest contributions. It is an independent fan publication; see the About page for its exact relationship to racing organisers.
7. What we will not publish
- Any content promoting chance-based or paid-prediction services, and any link to such a service.
- Advice that needs a qualified professional, presented as if we were one.
- Reviews of products or services.
- Aggregated news copied from other publications.
