Silverstone based Strakka Racing announced a new partnership with Honda Performance Development which resulted in plans to race an Acura ARX-01b in the 2010 Le Mans Series. The Acura ARX-01b is the same LMP2 prototype Adrian Fernandez used this year to win the LMP2 class of the American Le Mans Series .
Peugeot Sport announced they have decided to trust Team Oreca Matmut with a LMP1 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP prototype for the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 and 2011. IMSA, the American Le Mans Series sanctioning body, has issued regulations for the upcoming 2010 season. The updates focus on safety, performance, the points attribution system and the display of the series logo and the leader lights system.
The A.C.O. have released their 2010 regulations, which can be downloaded here. All contenders to the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2010 will naturally have to comply. Series such as Le Mans Series, American Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series are expected to update their own regulations to reflect A.C.O. changes.
